Staying true to her Louisiana musical roots, Johnette performs with Jimmy LaRocca's Original Dixieland Jazz Band to introduce children of all ages around the world to the joyful sounds of Dixieland Jazz; the music she heard growing up as a child in New Orleans. Performing songs from their CD Dixieland Jazz for Children, this seven piece ensemble blends the upbeat, happy sounds of Dixieland Jazz with lyrics for children and their extended families creating an authentic, innovative and cultural experience across the globe.

The Original Dixieland Jazz Band performs in such prestigious venues as the Kennedy Center as well as performing arts centers and festivals internationally. The band consists of six musicians (trumpet, clarinet, trombone, piano, bass and drums) and Johnette joins the group as the vocalist for a total of seven performers for this unique Dixieland Jazz for Children program.

Dixieland Jazz for Children concerts are well suited for festivals, large and small performing arts centers, concert halls, arenas and television appearances globally.
