Staying true to her Louisiana musical roots, Johnette collaborates with Jimmy LaRocca's Original Dixieland Jazz Band to introduce children of all ages around the world to the joyful sounds of Dixieland Jazz; the music she heard growing up as a child in New Orleans. Nineteen original songs blend the upbeat, happy sounds of Dixieland Jazz with lyrics for children and their extended families. It is our hope that this authentic and innovative recording for children keeps the tradition alive with a new generation of Jazz lovers.
