Engage your class in a motivating virtual chat, via the Internet, with author, illustrator and musician Johnette Downing using the Skype Video Chat software. Johnette reads or sings one of her books or songs, answers student questions, offers techniques for better writing and shares with them her passion for writing and singing from the heart.

Skype Spring Special

Here is how it works:

Time: Approximately 20 minutes

Fee: $150

Instructions:

1. First, pay online by clicking the Pay Now button.
2. Fill out the Booking Request Form by clicking the Booking Request button. Tip: list several preferred dates and times.
3. Schedule the date and time with Johnette.
4. Send student questions to Johnette in advance for her to review before the chat.
5. Set up your computer camera and screen so that the entire class or group can see and be seen well.
6. Call or write to Johnette on Skype the day before the agreed upon date and time to confirm, and then call Johnette on Skype at the agreed upon date and time
7. Johnette reads or sings one of her books or songs
8. For book readings, while Johnette is reading and/or singing the chosen book, the teacher can turn the pages of the book simultaneously in class as well.
9. Selected students may stand up and ask Johnette the prearranged questions.
10. Johnette answers the questions and offers tips for better writing and singing.
11. Say goodbye and sign off.
12. Johnette will email you the typed answers to the questions for your records.
