For Your Grammy Consideration in Best Children's Album and Best American Roots Performance!

It’s Grammy first round voting season, and I would like to thank the Grammy voters in advance for considering my “Jumpin’ Jitters, It’s Halloween” album as Best Children’s Album, and the song “Dry Bones” in Best American Roots Performance.

Halloween Gift Set Available Here Only!

Get into the SPIRIT of Halloween with this spooktacular gift set available here only! Trick or treaters will enjoy listening to age-appropriate Halloween songs and reading two eerie books, both with a Louisiana twist!

“Jumpin’ Jitters, It’s Halloween” is a album for children of 14 slightly spooky, mostly silly traditional and original songs.

Spooky Second Line is a Halloween book set in New Orleans during a jazz funeral. The witch plays the drum, the ghost plays the sousaphone, the cat plays the trombone, and more as the band leads a parade to the cemetery for a joyful celebration. Get out your scarves to punctuate the jazz beat when read aloud!

The Fifolet is an eerie Cajun tale about the legendary ball of light in the swamp (also known as swamp gas). This Jack of Lantern, Will-Of-The-Wisp, story is perfect for campfires, sleepovers, and just plain spine-tingling anytime fun. A gentle lesson about greed, and an author’s note about the myth are included.

Jumpin' Jitters', It's Halloween Released TODAY!

Happy Halloween! No trick here, my Jumpin’ Jitters, It’s Halloween album is out TODAY on streaming platforms world wide and on my website! It was such a joy making this album of fourteen slightly spooky, mostly silly songs for children.

I want to thank Threadhead Cultural Foundation for the generous grant that partially funded the project. I would also like to thank co-producer Scott Billington, recording engineers Steve Reynolds, Jake Eckert and Naylan Williams, and mastering engineer Jeff Albert.

A monster cast of musicians created an eerie soundscape to make the album spine-tingling fun for the whole family. A deep bow to musicians C. R. Gruver, Scott Billington, Nathan Williams, Jake Eckert, Gina Forsyth, Lee Allen Zeno, Doug Belote, EJ Ouellette, and the Whole Music Student chorus.

I appreciate the teachers over the years who shared Halloween songs and chants with me to use in my classrooms and in my live shows. Many of those songs appear on the album such as “Mean Old Witch,” “Stirring My Brew,” and “Jack-O’-Lantern.” The album includes many original songs such as “Jumpin’ Jitters,” “Shake Your Skeletons,” “Goosebumps,” and “Little Bat Song,” among others.

I hope your Halloween is all treat and filled with song!
